Ensemble Galante is a collection of performers on period instruments dedicated to bringing audiences dynamic and informed performances of music from the past. The group focuses on music from the High Baroque, Galante, and Early Classical styles of the 18th Century, from Monteclair to Mozart.

Period instrument artists Ensemble Galante and Countertenor Matthew Rutty present music by Vivaldi, Handel, Caldara and Locatelli. Programme includes Vivaldi’s virtuosic trio for recorder, bassoon and continuo, as well as Handel’s sublime cantata “Mi palpita il cor”.
