Adelaide Chamber Singers
Adelaide Chamber Singers is widely respected as one of Australia’s leading chamber choirs. Formed in 1985 by Artistic Director Carl Crossin OAM, ACS has undertaken six international tours (including UK, USA, Japan, Norway and Canada), released five CDs and performed at the Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth Festivals. ACS celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2010.
Australian Chamber Orchestra
The Australian Chamber Orchestra confirms its reputation for flexibility and exciting programming with three diverse concerts, performed with the energy and panache for which it is renowned.
Australian String Quartet
The Australian String Quartet (Sophie Rowell – violin, Anne Horton – violin, Sally Boud – viola, Rachel Johnston – cello) performs throughout Australia and around the world and holds the distinction of having won more international chamber music competitions than any other ensemble in Australian history.
Benaud Trio
The Benaud Trio is one of Australia’s finest young ensembles. Formed in early 2005, pianist Amir Farid, violinist Lachlan Bramble, and cellist Ewen Bramble have established themselves as formidable performers of the major repertoire, works by Australian composers and music with a pop/jazz influence. In 2010 the Benauds will present two concerts filled with excitement and musical fun. Concerts are approximately one hour followed by afternoon tea..
The Firm
The Firm promotes the performance of new solo and chamber works, particularly those of South Australian composers, and also provides a performance platform for some of Australia’s finest musicians. Headed by composers Raymond Chapman Smith and Quentin SD Grant, the Firm presents a series of concerts each year with a nominated composer in residence that provides a focus and spring board for the creation of new works and programming of existing works for performance.
The Kegelstatt Ensemble
Since being named ‘Best New Group’ by The Advertiser ‘Oscarts’ in 2006, The Kegelstatt Ensemble has generated an ever-expanding pool of gifted and passionate young musicians who are able to work together joyfully and fruitfully in bringing great chamber music to life. We take our name from a trio by Mozart – the first to unite a single wind, string and keyboard instrument and place them on equal footing. Join us in 2010 for a journey through the magnificent chamber works of Johannes Brahms.

Ngeringa Farm Concerts

Selby & Friends presents TRIOZ
TRIOZ was invited in 2008 to be the first ensemble–in–residence at the prestigious City Recital Hall Angel Place in Sydney – a first by a major venue in Australia. Comprising internationally renowned Australian pianist, Kathryn Selby, young South Australian of the year and former host of Classical Destinations, violinist Niki Vasilakis, and former principal cellist with the ACO Emma’Jane Murphy, this ensemble is the darling of critics and audiences nationwide.
Seraphim Trio
Founded in 1994, Seraphim Trio comprises pianist Anna Goldsworthy, violinist Helen Ayres, and cellist Timothy Nankervis. The trio is celebrated for its vitality, rapport and innovative programming. Since winning the prize for Leading Piano Trio and the Audience Choice Award in the 2001 Australian National Chamber Music Competition, Seraphim Trio has performed internationally and throughout Australia. It appears regularly for Musica Viva, is frequently broadcast on ABC Classic FM, and is a regular guest at Australian music festivals.
Soundstream
Soundstream 2010 celebrates the visionary musical voices of the 20th and 21st century with three days of inspirational performances this August. Join Artistic Director Gabriella Smart and some of the country’s finest contemporary musicians including Ensemble Offspring, Anna Goldsworthy, Roland Peelman and Brian Ritchie for the third annual Soundstream: Adelaide New Music Festival.
Program highlights include Antheil’s seminal work ‘Ballet Méchanique’ and the Australian premiere of Schedrin’s ‘Hommage a Chopin’ for four pianos.
Zephyr Quartet
Zephyr Quartet is a bold and adventurous string quartet, delighting in the exploration of a diverse mix of music and in forging innovative and interesting collaborations. The Quartet’s passionate belief in the value of experimentation results in the presentation of carefully constructed, unique and challenging programs which have seen collaborations with visual arts, dance, poetry, theatre and musicians from other genres.
